During mild spells in October through to March, the branches are smothered in dark pink blossom. A wonderful choice for the smaller garden and where space is limited. Garden care: Plant as soon as conditions allow in soil that is not water-logged or frozen. When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake and support firmly. Prune in summer to reduce the risk of silver leaf and bacterial canker, cutting back any dead, diseased or crossing branches.
