Easy-to-grow, they’re supplied as seedlings, which when grown on, will be ideal for a sunny mixed or annual border on a moist, but well-drained site. Grown individually in cell trays, each plant measures about 4 – 6cm tall (from the base of the root to the top of the plant). They are ideal for keen gardeners who have a greenhouse where the plants can be grown on until they are ready for planting out in the garden once all chance of frost has passed. Garden care: Protect from frost, keep the soil or compost moist by watering regularly during dry spells and feed with a balanced fertiliser every fourteen days. Although usually grown as an annual, plants that are protected with a dry mulch may survive mild winters where temperatures only occasionally fall below -5°C (23°F).
