A creamy-white flowering, tall, short-lived tender perennial. Position: full sun or partial shade Soil: moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained Rate of growth: average to fast Flowering period: May to the first frosts Hardiness: tender (needs frost protection) Masses of showy, five-petalled flowers in stunning white appear from May to October, known for their wonderful heady perfume at night. Easy-to-grow, they’re ideal for a sunny mixed or annual border on a moist, but well-drained site. Grown individually in cell trays, each plant measures about 7 – 10cm tall (from the base of the root to the top of the plant). Delivered in plastic-free packaging, they are ideal for keen gardeners who have a greenhouse, where the plants can be grown on until they are ready for planting outside after all risk of frost has passed. Garden care: Protect from frost, keep the soil or compost moist by watering regularly during dry spells and feed with a balanced fertiliser every fourteen days. Although usually grown as an annual, plants that are protected with a dry mulch may survive mild winters where temperatures only occasionally fall below -5;C (23;F).
