Position: full sun to partial shade Soil: humus rich, reliably moist, but well drained soil Rate of growth: average Flowering period: May to June Hardiness: fully hardy Striking sky blue flowers, up to 3cm across, are produced from late spring to early summer on this mat forming, mainly evergreen perennial. Found growing in sunny alpine meadows and moorland, they are perfect for an alpine bed. Alternatively try potting them up and placing them on a patio where you can enjoy them close up, or use them for softening the edges at the front of a mixed border. Garden care: In areas where the summers are hot and dry, they will need protection from the sun during the hottest part of the day.
