Startling shiny white bark
Providing year-round interest, this beautiful Himalayan birch is well known for its chalk white bark and contrasting gold foliage that emerges in the autumn.
The green of the catkins of this plant are darker than most birches, and glossy, too, with the small size which is common to the birch tree. Like most birch trees, this tree is hardy and strong, easy to cultivate even for the beginner gardener, and will grow in a wide range of situations.
Your birch will usually arrive as a single stem tree. If there is more than one strong stem, at this age it is simple enough to prune away side shoots and train the leader stem if you would prefer a single stem, standard tree.
